Cookie Policy
Last updated: October 30, 2026
This page shows the items that Syndicate Sports (syndicatesn.com) keeps on your device. It also shows the other companies that your browser connects to when you read the pages of this site. On this page, “the items on your device” are cookies and browser storage. A cookie is a small file that a site puts in your browser. Browser storage is almost the same, but a site keeps small notes in it. This page first tells you how to reject them. The Privacy Policy gives all the other information about your data.
In short
- The items on your device: Your device keeps ad cookies from Google and from the ad companies that work with Google. It also keeps Google Analytics cookies. This site writes some small notes, for example the sport that you selected in the score strip. This site also sets two cookies. One is for a page that has a password. One comes from the cache, which keeps prepared copies of the pages of this site. The full list.
- How to reject: In all countries, deactivate “personalized ads” at Google. You can also set your browser to reject cookies. In Europe, reject the items in Google’s consent message when it shows. Google lets you opt out in some US states. When the link Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information shows at the bottom of a story, click it. Refer to Your selections and Other controls for cookies.
- If you reject: Google tells you that it then does not use the pages that you read before to select ads. You will usually continue to see ads.
Your selections on this site
Your location changes the messages, links and buttons that you see. Google’s ad code finds your general location when a page with ads loads, but this site does not find it. If Google’s code gives no information about your location, the pages of this site read the time zone of your device. They do this in your browser only, and they do not keep or send the time zone. On this page, “Europe” is the European Union, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, the United Kingdom and Switzerland.
The two links in the lists that follow use Google’s ad code. Each link shows at the bottom of the pages of this site that have ads, for example a story or the front page. It shows only when Google’s code tells the page that the link is applicable to you. The links do not show on this page or on the Privacy Policy, because these two pages have no ads and no ad code of Google. Thus you can read these two pages before you make a selection. The links also do not show if you use an ad blocker, or while Google’s code gives no information about your location.
In Europe
- Before the code of Google operates, the pages of this site tell it that you do not agree. Cookies for ads and for statistics start as rejected.
- A consent message from Google tells you to make a selection. If it is active for this site, it comes with Google’s ad code when you open a page with ads. In the message you can agree, or you can select for each purpose. You can reject where the message gives that selection. If you did not see the message, you did not agree.
- After you reject, Google can show ads. Google gives them the name “limited ads” and selects them from the page that you read, not from the pages that you read before. Google tells you that it can keep a cookie and an entry in browser storage on your device after you reject. Google tells you that it uses them only to find fraud.
- To change your answer, click Privacy and cookie settings at the bottom of a page that has ads. The link shows when Google’s code tells the page that its message is applicable to you.
- Your answer is applicable to Google’s ads and Google Analytics only. Videos and items from other sites have different buttons. We count the reads of all readers. Your answer does not change this.
Not in Europe
- This site and Google do not get your consent first. Google can set its ad cookies immediately when a page with ads loads. We show no consent message.
- In the United States, Google gives an opt-out in some US states. Its code can tell the page that the opt-out is applicable to you. Then the link Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information shows at the bottom of a story or of the front page. Click it. Then send the opt-out request in the message that Google opens. The link then reads Opt-out request honored. You continue to see ads. Google tells you that it then does not use the pages that you read before to select these ads.
- If you see no such link, Google does not give you the opt-out, or an ad blocker stops the link. Use the tools in Other controls for cookies. You can use them in all countries.
Videos, items from other sites and podcasts
- Posts from X, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Threads, Bluesky and Reddit in a story do not load when a page loads. The same occurs for a video, or for a different item that a different site shows in a frame. A post that does not load shows as quoted text. The code of the other company does not load.
- They load without a click when Google’s ad code tells the page that you are not in Europe. This site then has no button to stop them. A content blocker in your browser can stop them.
- In all other conditions, each one waits behind a button. The button is Show this post from and the name of the network (for example, Show this post from X). It can also be Play video, or Show content from and the name of the other site. This occurs when Google’s code tells the page that you are in Europe. It also occurs when Google’s code gives no information about your location, and your device gives a time zone in Europe or no time zone. Google’s code gives no information when you use an ad blocker, on a page without ads, or when the code does not operate.
- After you click, more items from the same company load without a click until you close the tab.
- Podcasts: the audio file loads only when you click play.
- Videos of the shows of this site, not in a story, are only links that open YouTube.
The items on your device, and the companies that your browser connects to
For each item we show the company of the item, the function of the item and the time that it continues. The names and times in the Google lines come from Google’s list of ad cookies. We read the list on October 12, 2026, and Google changes it. The names and times are from Google, not from this site. On this page, “under syndicatesn.com” tells you that the browser keeps the cookie in the name of this site, also when Google’s code sets it. “IP address” is the number that identifies your internet connection.
Necessary for the operation of the site
We do not get your consent before we use these, because each one only lets a function of the site operate.
- FCCDCF (cookie, set by Google’s consent message under syndicatesn.com, after that message runs): keeps your answer to the message. 13 months (Google’s list).
- synSport (browser storage, this site): keeps the sport that you selected in the score strip (the row of scores at the top of the pages of this site). This site writes it only when you change it. We do not get it. It stays until you erase the site data of your browser.
- synTeams (browser storage, this site): keeps the schools that you follow on the My teams page, up to five. This site writes it only when you follow a school or stop following it. It stays in your browser until you erase the site data of your browser. To show a school’s card, your browser asks this site for that school by its number.
- synEmbeds (browser storage, this site): keeps, for the open tab only, the names of the companies that you let show videos or posts. This site writes it only when you click one of those buttons. We do not get it. The browser erases it when you close the tab.
- _lscache_vary (cookie, this site, set by the cache, which keeps prepared copies of the pages of this site): tells the cache which copy of a page to give you. If the cache is prepared for it, the cache sets it when you open the first page. If not, the cache does not set it. A maximum of approximately a year.
- wp-postpass_ (cookie with a name that starts with this text, this site): keeps the password that you typed for a page that has a password. This site sets it only when you type one. Approximately 10 days.
Readers have no accounts here, thus only the staff of this site get sign-in cookies. The score strip gets scores from this site and not from the source of the scores, and it sets and reads no cookie. The count of reads of a story, the stories that show below the search field and the sign-up box come from this site. They set no cookie and write no data to the storage of your browser. The e-mail address that you type goes to this site when you click “Sign up”, and the Privacy Policy tells you which data we keep. The site looks at the sign-in cookie of the staff to remove them from the count.
Ads
The ads of this site come from Google AdSense. When a page with ads loads, Google receives your IP address and information about your browser. Google and the ad companies that work with it use cookies to show you ads. They use the pages that you read before on this site and on other sites to select these ads. To reject these cookies, refer to Your selections.
- __gads, __gpi (AdSense cookies under syndicatesn.com): Google uses them to show ads, to measure ads and to keep the ads safe. It also uses them to set a maximum number of times that you see the same ad. If your selections let it, it makes the ads fit you. 13 months.
- __gpi_optout (AdSense cookie under syndicatesn.com): Google’s list gives only ads as its purpose. By its name, it records an opt-out. 13 months.
- __eoi (AdSense cookie under syndicatesn.com): safety. 6 months.
- GED_PLAYLIST_ACTIVITY (AdSense cookie under syndicatesn.com): ads. Google’s list gives no other information. Until you close your browser.
- TESTCOOKIESENABLED (AdSense cookie under syndicatesn.com): by its name, does a test to find if your browser accepts cookies. 60 seconds.
- FCNEC (cookie, set by Google’s consent message under syndicatesn.com): Google identifies it as analytics. 1 year.
- IDE, id, DSID, test_cookie (cookies under doubleclick.net, an address Google uses for ads): They show Google’s ads on this site and on other sites. They make the ads fit you if your selections let it. They record it when you deactivate “personalized ads”. They are also for safety. A maximum of 24 months. In Europe, but not in Switzerland, a maximum of 13 months. A recorded opt-out is kept until a specified date (November 9, 2030, on Google’s list).
- Google’s ad partners (cookies of these companies): ads. Google’s consent message and Google’s list of ad partners give the names of the companies. Each company makes a decision on the time of its cookies.
These are examples and not all cookies. Google keeps the full list in its list of ad cookies. Google tells you that its ad code can also use the storage of your browser. Its list does not give the names of those entries.
Statistics
The count of reads that we make. After a story is open on your screen for five seconds, your browser sends this site a request that gives the name of the story. We add one to the count of that story. We keep one number for each story, but no data about you and no data on your device. Each request to this site shows in the log of the hosting company, and the Privacy Policy gives information on the log. Google’s consent message does not deactivate the count.
Google Analytics counts the times that readers open pages and tells the site which pages they read. It sets _ga and a cookie that starts with _ga_ under syndicatesn.com to know one reader from a different reader (2 years each, Google’s list). For readers in Europe, the pages of this site tell Google’s code not to use these cookies, unless you agree in Google’s consent message. Google tells you that until then, and if you reject, Analytics reads and writes no cookies but continues to receive requests without them. These requests have your IP address and browser information, but Google tells you that Analytics does not keep or record IP addresses. Google gives an opt-out add-on for the Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge browsers.
Video, audio and items from other sites
When one of these loads, the other company receives your IP address and information about your browser. It can also set cookies or use the storage of your browser. Refer to Your selections for the conditions in which these items load. We do not control the cookies and browser storage of these companies, or the time that they continue. The page of each company gives that information.
- X: posts shown in many stories of this site. X’s cookie page.
- YouTube (Google): the video player, if a story has a video. Google’s cookie page.
- Instagram (Meta): posts shown in some stories of this site. Meta’s cookie policy.
- Buzzsprout, the company that keeps the podcasts of this site: after you click play, your device loads the audio file. At some times it also loads the cover picture of the episode, which your device shows with its play and pause controls. We know of no cookie. Buzzsprout’s privacy policy. The audio of one show first goes through pdcn.co. There Audacy’s Creator Lab (its name was Podcorn before) counts plays. It also receives your IP address and information about your browser (Audacy’s privacy policy).
- A different network can show a post or video in a story. That network can set cookies when it loads. Refer to the cookie page of that network. A post from a network that is not on this page can load with the page.
YouTube’s preview pictures
The picture of the newest video of each show comes from the picture servers of YouTube. Your browser loads it when Google’s ad code tells the page that you are not in Europe. It also loads it when Google’s code gives no information about your location and the time zone of your device is not in Europe. It also loads it after you click a button in the same tab to show items from YouTube. All other readers see a box with a play symbol.
The fonts and the podcast cover pictures that the pages of this site show are kept on this site. Thus your browser connects to no other company to show them. Share buttons are links. No data loads from X or Facebook unless you click one.
Other controls for cookies
- Google: deactivate “Personalized ads” at Ads Settings.
- Other ad companies: opt out of ads that are made for you from many companies at aboutads.info (the United States) or Your Online Choices (Europe). The Network Advertising Initiative gives more options.
- Your browser: stop or erase cookies with the cookie controls of Chrome, Firefox, Safari on iPhone or Mac, or Edge. You can read the stories on the site when you stop all cookies. When you erase cookies, you also erase your answers and your selections to opt out. Thus you must give them again. When you stop cookies, this is not sufficient to stop the ads that are made for you. Google writes that it can then use other methods. To stop that, also deactivate “Personalized ads” in Ads Settings.
None of these removes ads. After you opt out, Google and the other companies tell you that your ads no longer use your interests. The ads can continue to use the page that you read at this time and your general location. Most selections that you make with these tools stay in one browser. Thus do them again in each browser that you use.
Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track
Global Privacy Control: Some browsers can send this request to tell sites that you do not want your information sold or shared. This site does not use it. But Google writes that its ad code obeys it for readers in some parts of the US. The code then shows only ads that do not use the information that Google collected about you before. California was not one of these parts of the US the last time that we read Google’s pages, on October 12, 2026. If you are in California, or you are not sure, do not think that this request has an effect here. If the link Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information shows at the bottom of a story, use it. You can also use Google’s Ads Settings.
Do Not Track is a browser function that came before Global Privacy Control. This site does not obey it. No change occurs when your browser sends it. Google and the ad companies that operate with Google can continue to collect information about how you use this site and other sites. Use the tools above to limit that.
