Terms of Use

Last updated: October 30, 2026

If you think that we made an error, go to Corrections and complaints about our coverage. It tells you where to write and the steps that we do after we receive your message.

About these terms

Syndicate Sports (syndicatesn.com) is an independent college sports publication operated by Syndicate Media & Sports LLC, of Shelton, Connecticut. It started as Sun Belt Syndicate. Its podcast, YouTube channel and social media accounts continue to use that name. In these terms, “we,” “us” and “our” are the operator of Syndicate Sports. “The site” is syndicatesn.com, our video and audio shows and each newsletter that we send.

These terms are the rules that are applicable when you use the site. They tell each reader which promises we make and which promises we do not make. If you do not accept them, do not use the site.

Our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy tell you how we collect, use, share and keep personal information, and how we use cookies.

What we publish and what it is for

We publish news, recaps, previews, features, analysis, opinion, rankings and predictions about college sports. We publish them in stories and on our video and audio shows. We give all this material only for general information and entertainment. These three points are important:

  • The site gives no professional advice. No part of it is legal, financial or medical advice. Do not use only the site to make important decisions.
  • The site gives no advice about bets. Our predictions, and the odds and point spreads that we refer to, are only for information and entertainment. We do not guarantee a result. We do not accept bets. If you bet, the risk is yours.
  • Opinions are personal views. Commentary, analysis, previews and predictions are the views of the persons who wrote or spoke the words. Rankings and polls are opinions too. They show the opinions of the persons who voted in them or prepared them. A poll that we publish with the Syndicate name is not an official ranking. None of it speaks for a school, a conference or the NCAA.

Accuracy

We try to be correct. Sports news changes fast, and errors occur. A score can be incorrect, a statistic can show the incorrect player, and a fact can change after we publish. Thus we cannot promise that each story has no errors or has all the facts. A story can become out of date after we publish it.

When we find that a story has an error, we correct the error in the story. When a correction changes the information in a story, our usual procedure is to add a note with the date to the story. The note shows the changes that we made.

The next section tells how to send a report of an error. The effect of errors on our legal responsibility to readers is in No guarantees, and limits on our liability.

Corrections and complaints about our coverage

If you think that something that we published is incorrect, unfair or defamatory, tell us. A defamatory statement is a false statement of fact that harms the reputation of a person. All persons can write to us, for example readers and the persons, teams and schools that our stories and shows are about.

Write to business@syndicatesports.io with “Correction” in the subject line, and include:

  • the address of the story
  • a copy of the words in the story that you write about
  • the facts that make you think that it is incorrect, and the correct version
  • material that supports your claim
  • your name and how we can contact you

A person reads each message, and we examine it in good faith. We try to send an answer to each message. If we find that we made an error, we correct the text or make it more clear, as the Accuracy section shows. As a rule, we do not remove a story that is accurate, or an opinion held in good faith, because a person objects.

We want you to write to us first, before you do other steps. It is the most direct procedure to correct an error.

These terms are between us and the persons who use the site. They do not put a limit on the rights that the law gives to a person that we write about.

Scores, schedules and standings

The site reads the live scores and next-game lines automatically from a public source of scores that we do not operate. Our staff types the standings, rankings and schedules, or the site reads them from other public sites. A typed table stays the same until a person changes it. A ranking number adjacent to a team in the score strip comes from that source of scores, not from our poll.

None of this is official. It can be out of date or incorrect, and parts of it can be missing. The scores can be missing without notice. Before you use it for a decision, compare it with the information from the school, the conference or the NCAA.

Independent coverage

Syndicate Sports is independent. The NCAA, a conference, a college, a university or a team does not sponsor us, endorse us or have an affiliation with us. Those organizations own their names, logos and other trademarks, and we use them to identify the teams and organizations that we write about. A team page shows the colors of that team to help you identify the team. No school, team or conference approves or endorses those pages. The Credits page shows the source of each logo and, where it has one, its license.

If you own a name or logo and you have a problem with how the site shows it, write to business@syndicatesports.io.

Our content and how you can use it

The stories, pictures, graphics, video and audio that we make have copyright protection. We, our writers or those who license them to us own them.

You can read the site, share links to it, and quote short parts of it with credit to Syndicate Sports and a link to the story. Do not republish full stories, or large parts of the site, without our written permission. To get permission, write to business@syndicatesports.io. These terms do not put a limit on fair use or on other rights that the law gives you.

Copyright complaints

If you think that the site uses your copyrighted work without permission, write to our copyright contact at business@syndicatesports.io. The information to put in your notice, and the steps that we do after we receive it, are on our page Copyright and takedown requests.

When we receive a valid notice, we do the necessary steps. These steps can be to remove the material or to block access to it.

Links, embedded media and advertising

The site has links to other sites. Some stories show social media posts and other material from other persons. The persons who posted them and the platforms that host them own that material, and their terms are applicable to it. We are not responsible for the information on those other sites or in that material. A link or a post that a story shows is not an endorsement.

The shows are ours, and these terms cover them. YouTube hosts their video and a podcast service hosts their audio. Thus the terms of those services are also applicable when you look at the video or listen to the audio.

Ads on the site come from other companies, some of them through Google AdSense. An ad is not our recommendation of the advertiser or its product. If we publish sponsored content or paid links, we will identify them. Our Cookie Policy tells how advertising uses cookies.

No guarantees, and limits on our liability

This section is about your use of the site as a reader. In short: the site is free, we do our best, and we cannot be responsible for what you do with what you read here. If we published something about you, this section is not about that: see Corrections and complaints about our coverage.

We provide the site and everything on it “as is” and “as available,” which means as you find it, with no guarantee. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no warranties (legal promises) of any kind, whether stated or implied by law, including any promise that the content is accurate or suited to a particular use. We do not promise that the site will be uninterrupted or free of errors.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable to you as a reader for any loss caused by errors or omissions in our content, or by your relying on anything on the site, including scores, schedules, standings, rankings and predictions.

We shall not be liable for delay or failure in performance for causes beyond our control or any other damage which does not result from a breach of our obligations under this Agreement.

WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY LACK OF FUNCTIONALITY OR FAILURE TO PROVIDE ANY PART OF THE PRODUCT(S), OR ANY LOSS OF CONTENT OR DATA THAT IS DUE TO: YOUR EQUIPMENT, DEVICES, OPERATING SYSTEM OR INTERNET CONNECTION; OR YOUR FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH SPECIFIED COMPATIBILITY REQUIREMENTS.

WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE TO YOU FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOST PROFITS AND PROPERTY DAMAGE, EVEN IF WE WERE ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES, NOR SHALL WE BE HELD LIABLE FOR DELAY OR FAILURE IN PERFORMANCE RESULTING FROM CAUSES BEYOND OUR REASONABLE CONTROL.

IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL DAMAGES, LOSSES AND CAUSES OF ACTION EXCEED ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (US $100).

This section does not apply to a claim by a person or organization about what we published about them. The law decides those claims, not these terms.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for fraud or intentional harm, or any other liability the law does not allow us to limit.

Which law applies

To the extent permitted by law, two things apply to any dispute between you and us about these terms or your use of the site: the laws of the State of Connecticut govern it, and a lawsuit over it will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Connecticut. As an alternative, you or we can use a small claims court where you live. This section is not applicable to claims by a person or an organization about material that we published about that person or organization.

If you have a problem, we want you to write first to the address in the Contact section. Thus we can try to find a solution.

Changes to the site and to these terms

We can change, temporarily stop or remove each part of the site at a time that we select. We can also change these terms. When we do, we will put the new version on this page and change the date at the top. A change is applicable from the day that we put it on this page. It is not applicable to the time before that day. If a change is important, we will also put a notice on the site.

If it is not possible to enforce a part of these terms, the remaining parts continue to be applicable.
